Our Mission & Vision
The SHRM Bucks County Chapter aims to serve human resource professionals and advance the HR profession within Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Our mission is to provide resources, education, networking opportunities, and advocacy for HR professionals at all career stages. By fostering a supportive community and promoting HR excellence, we strive to contribute to the success of both individuals and organizations within our region.
How We Got Here
It all started with a networking lunch among local HR professionals who recognized the need for a dedicated chapter serving Bucks County. After conducting surveys and hosting interest meetings, we discovered strong demand for:

- Strategic leadership development
- Mentorship opportunities
- Educational opportunities for SHRM recertification
Our Approach
We operate specifically to serve the needs of HR leaders and professionals living or working in Bucks County through three core pillars:

The Purpose of Our Chapter
At Bucks County SHRM, our purpose is to:
- Create a community of professionals to support and learn from each other
- Grow dual membership between SHRM Chapter and national SHRM members
- Provide a forum for personal and professional development of members
- Develop leadership, business acumen, managerial, public speaking and decision-making skills
- Interact with and develop individuals new to the profession
- Provide an arena for trust relationships where common problems can be discussed
- Focus on current human resource management issues important to our members
- Address state and national workplace public policy issues
- Provide valuable information gathering and dissemination channels
- Develop HR professional leaders for succession as volunteer leaders
- Serve as a vehicle for introducing HR professionals to SHRM
